God’s Word – Scriptures to Ponder

TRAIN WRECKS – Have you ever been struggling with something and you start to see the light at the end of the tunnel… only to find out it is an oncoming train? May we give our struggles to our Lord.

1 Peter 5:7 “Casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.”

2 Peter 3:9 (KJV) 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Colossians 2:16,17 King James Version (KJV) 16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Ezekiel 18:23 “Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?”

Habakkuk 2:4 “The just shall live by faith.”

Hebrews 11:1 The apostles wanted more faith so they could meet the challenges of God’s demands, but Jesus knew that it was not quantity they needed but quality. They did not need an increase of faith that would bring some reward following its use, but a faith that, although small like a mustard seed, is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Isaiah 55:6 “SEEK the Lord WHILE He may be found, CALL UPON HIM while He is near.”

Joel 2:1 Hear Ye the Lord O my people. Sound the alarm in His Holy Mountain. Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble for the day of the Lord Cometh.

John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not parish but have everlasting life.” … How much love is that? How much love is it for a father to give up his son to die for you or me? How many earthly rulers would give up their son to die for you or me?

Luke 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

Matthew 5:43-45 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.

Proverbs 16:9 A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.

Psalm 91:4 HE shall cover thee with HIS feathers, and under HIS wings shalt thou trust: HIS truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Psalms 145:15-16 The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season. Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing.

Romans 5:8 – But God commendeth His love toward us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

KJV vs NIV Bible

Here’s another video from the same gentleman as the above video.

If you get on and do a search for the word hell under the NIV version, you will only see the word hell used in the New Testament only. Now switch to the KJV and you will see the word hell used throughout the old and new testament. Does something seem wrong with this picture???

Proverb 30:5-6, “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.”

Jeremiah 26:2, “…all the words that I command thee to speak unto them; diminish not a word.”

1st John 3:8, “…For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”
