Thunderstorm Sounds

Video Title: Thunderstorm in Finland 12.6.2011 Natural Sound

I posted this video because some people find the sound of thunderstorms relaxing. Enjoy!

Psalm 107:29 (KJV)… He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.

“A thunderstorm, also known as an electrical storm, a lightning storm, thundershower or simply a storm, is a form of turbulent weather characterized by the presence of lightning and its acoustic effect on the Earth’s atmosphere known as thunder.[1] The meteorologically assigned cloud type associated with the thunderstorm is the cumulonimbus. Thunderstorms are usually accompanied by strong winds, heavy rain and sometimes snow, sleet, hail, or no precipitation at all. Those that cause hail to fall are called hailstorms. Thunderstorms may line up in a series or rainband, known as a squall line. Strong or severe thunderstorms may rotate, known as supercells. While most thunderstorms move with the mean wind flow through the layer of the troposphere that they occupy, vertical wind shear causes a deviation in their course at a right angle to the wind shear direction.”

Did you know music is being used as a therapy in helping people recover from severe brain injuries?

“While research on the neurological effects of music therapy is in its infancy, what is known is that a number of regions in the brain are activated by listening to music. And scientists say the brain responds to music by creating new pathways around damaged areas.”

Video Title: Carpenters –  Where Do I Go From Here ?

Playlist of Songs:

“In 1978, while working on their first Christmas album, Karen and Richard also recorded several songs for what was intended to have been a 10th-Anniversary album, including this song “Where Do I Go From Here,” a song which had previously been recorded by Barry Manilow and England Dan & John Ford Coley. But personal and health issues for both Karen and Richard prevented them from finishing the album and the songs were relegated to the vaults of A&M.”

“In 1989, a snippet of the song was featured in The CBS Movie of the Week, “The Karen Carpenter Story,” during the scene where Karen is in the hospital. Later that year, the song was finally released on the album “Lovelines.”

Like the Carpenter’s song, dear Christian brother or sister, God is with you and will lead you where you need to go.   Seek His will for your life.

James 4:14 – Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not parish but have everlasting life.”

… How much love is that? How much love is it for a father to give up his son to die for you or me? How many earthly rulers would give up their son to die for you or me?

Amazing Grace on the Harp

Video Title: Amazing Grace Harp Solo – Margaret Watson

The harp was used a lot in the Bible. Below you’ll find some related verses from scripture about harps…

1 Chronicles 13:8 – And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, and with singing, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.

Nehemiah 12:27 – And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries, and with harps.

Psalm 71:22 – I will also praise thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.
