Attack on Friends of Israel

Attack on Friends of Israel

Note from Jan at Olive Tree Ministries: Jim Fletcher is right. Friends of Israel today are treated like we have a mental disease. Even within evangelicalism, we are scorned and marginalized. What is our crime? I guess it’s our interpretation of the Bible for we see Israel’s land as God-given, not a piece of property that can be divided up and handed over to terrorists. I have written and spoken on Emergent Church issues for years and have aimed often at one of its leaders, Brian McLaren. Most of those in this stream consider Israel to be an inconvenience at best and dangerous at worst. Sister ministry leader Jim Fletcher expresses my sentiments about McLaren and his followers who claim that friends of Israel are worse than Muslim terrorists. Thanks, Jim. An Open Letter to Brian McLaren
By Jim Fletcher August 19, 2011

RE: Attack on Friends of Israel

Mr. McLaren:

For a long time, I have noticed the disconnect between your seemingly serene, peace/love/justice/mercy persona, and the vitriol with which you discuss Christian Zionists, and what I’d call Bible-believers in general.

From your publicity photos, to your blogs and video links, you project an air of compassion and spiritual healing. Your eminently marketable brand fairly screams Frank Costanza’s famous mantra, “Serenity now!”

Your English degree has served you well as a best-selling author and popular conference speaker. Your provocative book titles, like The Secret Message of Jesus, and A New Kind of Christianity, seem inspired by your friend, Marcus Borg, and reveal your considerable marketing skills. You are skilled at presenting your liberal views to mainstream evangelical audiences.

So it is with dismay that I read a recent blog posting on your Web site that references a letter from Naim Ateek to the Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams. Ateek makes the following statement, which you indicated that you felt was so important that it needs to be in bold print:

“With candor, the last two groups of extremists, i.e. Jewish and Western Christian Zionists, are a greater threat to us than the extremist Islamists. In fact, these extremists have more military power and clout to uproot all Palestinian presence both Christian and Muslim from our homeland.”

Extremists? Do you seriously believe that Bible-believing Christians (I think you’d call us fundamentalists) are extremists? And to imply that Christian Zionists are more violent than Muslim terrorists is not only an infinite stretch, but it is outright hate-speech–incendiary and violently provocative. It is unacceptable.

Elsewhere in your writings you have referred quite often to Christian Zionists, as in this call to understand:

“The need to confront the terrible, deadly, distorted, yet popular theologies associated with Christian Zionism and deterministic dispensationalism.”

Terrible? Deadly?

You don’t know us, yet you seem very comfortable in your slanders, which tells me a great deal about the state of modern evangelicalism–which you and your friends have successfully infiltrated.

To date, you seem to insulate yourself effectively from those of us you view with such disdain. Since you would (I am assuming here) frown on the word “debate,” I wonder if you’d care to have a public conversation about Christian Zionists, with a Christian Zionist? Please name a date and place convenient for you, or allow us to host you with real hospitality, which you do not, evidently, return in kind.

Mr. McLaren, your tolerance has very visible limits, and I wonder if your followers understand this reality. Your public dislike of Dispensationalists and Christian Zionists is outrageous. It is simply wrong and quite unjust.

It’s time to practice the love and compassion you preach.

As of right now, sir, I view you as the most intolerant Christian leader active in America. Will you repent of your hate-language directed at friends of Israel?

Sincerely and eagerly awaiting your reply,

Jim Fletcher

What Does Worthy to Escape Mean ?

Worthy to Escape? A teaching that some believers will be left behind because they are bad???

YT Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/carpentersdaughter2

Comments and Answers… Worthy to Escape by CarpentersDaughter

Comment: Jesus said 5 out of 10 bride maids did not/will not go in.

Answer: If you read on you will also see that Jesus says to these 5, depart from me for I NEVER knew you….meaning they were never ever saved. They NEVER had the Holy Spirit. They were people who thought that their works were good enough and when the Bridegroom called, they NEVER had any OIL which is the Holy Spirit.

Comment: I must disagree with you on this one. The Bible says we must be ready and that our garments must not be defiled. He’s talking to Christians! Those that are not ready WILL be left behind.

???: Jesus was talking to his disciples (believers) when he said to watch and pray always to be accounted worthy to escape. If they’re already saved then why would he tell them to watch and pray in the 1st place if they’re going no matter what they do?

How do you explain away  Luke 12:46, Rev 2:22?   There are others too.

Answer: The Church had not begun when Jesus spoke to His Disciples but the bottom line here is, how does any Believer be worthy? Do our works make us worthy?  If so, then why did Jesus die for our sins?

Jesus is speaking to a crowd not yet understanding what the Church was or the age of Grace is. Look at Peter, he’s a perfect example of not understanding the Church or Grace when Jesus spoke to them.

Our worthiness can only come from Jesus, and not from our works.

Dr. Dwight Pentecost said this on the subject: “If the rapture includes only a portion of those redeemed, then the body, of which Christ is the head, will be a dismembered and disfigured body when it is taken to Him. The building, of which he is the chief cornerstone, will be incomplete. The priesthood, of which He is the High Priest, will be without a portion of its complement. The bride, in relation to whom He is the Bridegroom, will be disfigured. The new creation, of which He is the Head, will be incomplete. Such is impossible to imagine.” 1

“God’s WORD is so much MORE than a compiling of 66 books penned (as the Holy Spirit directed) by 40 people! Every word, every number, every color, every symbol, every structure has PERTINENT MEANING. Every story of Old Testament people, every historical recording, every prophecy written–ALL point to JESUS and His amazing work in some way. AND it also tells of God’s plan–to reconcile a fallen creation back to Himself after mankind fell into sin (Man’s SIN is THE ACT which gave the Title Deed for the earth to the devil).”

Are You Sin Sick ?

Are you sin-sick?

“Are you truly yearning to live a holy life, free from the habituating lusts of the flesh? Then get ready to die. Get ready to embrace the cross. The old covenant will bring you to your wits’ end—to nothingness. When you have given up all hope of overcoming sin by your own human power and will, then you are ready to enter the glorious realm of freedom through the new covenant.” – David Wilkerson http://www.worldchallenge.org

“Let’s settle this truth once and for all: It is the nearness of God that produces our good. Christianity was never designed by God to be sustained by nice people trying to appear good. We’re not that good. We’re not that clever. And we’re not that nice. The only thing that can sustain true Christianity is true union with Jesus Christ. It is nearness to Him in all things that produces our spiritual fruit.” ~ F Frangipane ~

Romans 7:7 …What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

Romans 8:1-3 …KJV

8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

Romans 8:2-4 …KJV

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Most Awesome Endtime Dream !

One of the Most Awesome End Time Dreams of My Life – by: Sharon Moles

I entitled my manuscript: “This Generation Shall Not Pass” and began recording a series of DREAMS that I’ve experienced–concerning the times of the end and the Rapture. What I share here are excepts from that journal. The earliest entries were written in 1973, which is now approaching 38 years ago. (Even earlier, on October 14, 1972, I gave my heart to the Lord. And what an adventure I’ve had ever since!)

TO BEGIN:

SEPTEMBER 28, 1973

The alarm clock jangled. Jumping in surprise from the depth of a vivid dream, I rolled over in bed and grabbed my husband. Roughly shaking him, I exclaimed, “Wake up! Wake up!”

“Huhhhhh,” he groaned, running a hand across his close-cropped blond hair.

“Rex, wake up!”

“What’s the matter?” He yawned. “We late?”

“Not yet,” I said.

He wadded his pillow and stuffed it under his head. With hands balled into fists, he rubbed his eyes. “Then why are you jabbing at me like the world’s coming to an end?”

I laughed, amazed at his choice of words. “It IS ending. And SOON, I think.”

He blinked, suddenly puzzled. “What are you talking about?”

“I had another dream.”

“Oh, that,” he said. With a powerful thrust of muscles, he rose out of the bed. “You’re always having dreams.”

“This one is so different. I just KNOW Jesus is coming back soon.”

“I don’t know about that.” He shrugged, unconvinced. “You’ve been reading too much about the end times here lately. It’s no wonder you dream about it.”

“This dream is different,” I insisted. “If you’ll just listen to me, you’ll see.”

He listened quietly, his blue eyes sober, as I ran through an excited account of what I’d viewed in my sleep. When I finished, he slowly shook his head.

“What do you think?” I prodded.

“I think you’ve been reading too much.”

“But THIS dream has that BIBLE VERSE in it.” My voice rose with the intensity of my words. “What if I FIND it?”

“Well,” he drawled. “Then I guess I’d have to say the dream really came from God. But right now, I just don’t know. Most dreams are crazy. I’d never claim God gave them to me.”

“But this WASN’T crazy,” I argued. “It FELT real. Like I was actually THERE.”

Rex quickly dressed in the blue uniform he wore to his job at the Chevrolet garage. As he dressed, I padded barefoot across our carpeted bedroom, through the hallway and into our bright, sunlit kitchen. I started a pot of coffee and fixed Rex’s lunch. A few minutes later, he joined me and began frying his eggs, while I put cereal on the table for our two children, Arlita and Dennis. Rex talked to me about what he expected to do at work that day, but I was unresponsive. My mind dwelled on the dream. I didn’t want to forget one detail.

After Rex left for work and Arlita and Dennis walked down the hill toward the school, I grabbed a pen and a notebook. My hand flew rapidly as I wrote down the details of my dream. Then I grabbed my King James Bible. Recalling the chapter and verse number, I riffled the pages. In my mind, I heard again that soft, muffled voice. I wanted to see if there were really a chapter and verse with those numbers, a specific verse that contained the word “horsemen.”

THE DREAM:

It seemed such an ordinary day, the sky a bright azure, the golden sun shining in radiance. Rex and I and our children did an ordinary thing. Riding in our pickup between two small eastern Oregon towns near our home, we decided to stop as a roadside rest area. We climbed out of the truck.

i gazed upon familiar scenery. Dark green forested mountains–with bare, ochre, flat-topped foothills flanking their slopes. One ledge of rimrock stood out. Typical eastern Oregon surroundings. So ordinary. So routine.

Soon I noticed that Rex and I and our children were no longer standing alone. Surrounded by a large crowd of people, we moved when they moved. Together, we shuffled up the slight incline of a hill. Brown grass, dried by a summer’s sun, crackled under our feet.

In the crowd, I recognized childhood friends. One of them, a red-head, laughing loudly and waved at me. She motioned to her dark-haired husband, and then a fresh throng of people crowded between us, and the friends were lost from sight. However, I continued to recognize others who were our friends during later periods of our lives.

The sky turned dim and dusky, as if the sun had just set. The ordinary vanished as we were surrounded by a freakish, bizarre display of lightning. The bolts of supercharged electricity flashed and danced all around us, one bolt right after another. Many times, several bolts of lightning streaked at the same time. Huge, many-forked, they covered the entire sky with a marble-like pattern. I felt transfixed, face uplifted, as beside me Rex looked heavenward, too. We watched in amazement as the lightning hit mountain tops and valleys with a steady, crackling sizzle. The flickering, blue-white light reflected off the upturned faces of the crowd. As the lightning touched the ground, fireballs rolled away from each bolt, illuminating the scenery with an orange, fiery glow.

The crowd of people gasped, mouths open in astonishment. The lightning caused the moistness in their eyes to glitter.

One man looked at me, disheveled, shirttails hanging out, his eyes frantic. “This is terrible,’ he said. “There’s no rain, and there’s going to be fires all over.”

Not only no rain fell with the storm, there weren’t any clouds, either. The lightning streaked directly out of a clear blue-gray sky that appeared as solid as slate.

One bolt shot down and stayed down, keeping contact with the ground. It danced and quivered, popped and sizzled, traveling a full circle around the horizon. As it went, it left a bright orange fiery streak trailing on the ground in its wake. Rex and I stared, completely absorbed in the spectacular power of the storm. We’d seen no other like it.

Then an odd thing happened. The lightning converged, forming giant, glowing letters across the sky. Along with the letters came the sound of a voice, booming, deep, like thunder, amplified as if being broadcast out of a loudspeaker. The letters and voice said, “People of America have no more children.”

Some of the women gasped, placing their hands across their chests. A general murmur of comment rippled through the crowd. As we continued to gaze at the words, they evaporated out of the sky like dissolving mist.

A man exclaimed, anger tinting his voice, “This is a hoax. Somebody rigged this up to trick us.”

Another replied, “It’s no hoax, sir. It’s getting ready for Jesus to return.”

I grew aware of a Bible. Recognizing it as my black morocco-leather bound King James Version, I drew a sharp breath. My vision zoomed closer to the Bible: it filled my eyes and mind. I noticed it laid open to Old Testament prophecy.

A woman’s voice reached my ears. She read the Bible, her voice very soft and indistinct, as if I listened to her from a great distance. She said what I THOUGHT sounded like “Chapter seven.” The number was mumbled, but I heard the next words very plainly, “Verse forty.” She went on reading in her calm, subdued voice and one word reached my ears with perfect clarity: the word “horsemen.”

The Bible reader continued to read, and several people responded: “Hallelujah!” “Praise the Lord!”

My attention went back to the events around me in nature. A popping, splitting, cracking noise issued from deep within the ground, as if someone pried rocks apart with a giant crowbar. The ground began to shake and split open. On the rimrock bluff, boulders broke loose and tumbled down the hillside. All the while, the sky continued to darken.

I looked up at the sky again just in time to see a whole set of stars fall to the earth. There were many stars which fell, and I thought they looked similar to a simultaneous explosion of many large fireworks displays.

I glanced toward the horizon and saw a full moon rise. Then a dark, dusty-looking cloud billowed from over the horizon and puffed in front of the moon. The moon turned a brilliant red, like fresh blood.

My heart leaped within my chest. I grabbed Rex’s arm and shouted. “Look! The moon’s bright red! The moon is red! Jesus is coming! Jesus is coming!”

Rex and I continued to watch the red moon and the dark cloud fogging up from beyond the horizon. I wanted to see what would happen next…

The alarm clock jangled. Jumping in surprise, my heart still hammering from the effects of the dream, I rolled over and grabbed Rex.

MY SEARCH IN THE BIBLE

Many minutes later, holding my King James Bible in my hand, feeling of its flexible texture, I prayed for Jesus to give me His help in what I was about to undertake. Excitement still lingered from the memories of the dream. If I could just confirm to myself, and to others, that these dreams I’d been having truly came from God, then I’d feel satisfied. I frowned again, thinking of Rex’s skepticism.

I opened the Bible to the Old Testament prophecies. Having no extensive concordance, I began my search in Isaiah, looking for a chapter seven, verse forty, with the word “horsemen” in it. Coming to the end of the prophecies, a sense of disappointment enveloped me. I found nothing.

Placing the Bible on the table, I started for the sink to do the breakfast dishes. Just then, a new inspiration hit me. I decided to search the New Testament for a passage that fit the chapter and verse number in that dream. Once again, I found nothing.

I decided that the Bible verse part of my dream must not mean anything, after all. This time, when I rose to go do those breakfast dishes, I managed to get halfway across the kitchen floor. A new idea stopped me in mid-stride. I knew what I needed to do. I’d look at EVERY VERSE FORTY in the entire Bible! I wouldn’t feel happy until I found that elusive word: “horsemen.”

I decided to begin the search in the New Testament. I’m happy I did, because this is what I found: several verses that directly speak about the time of the end (even though they did not have the word “horsemen” in them).

Matthew 13:40–“As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be at the end of the world.”

Matthew 24:40–“Then shall two be in the field: one shall be taken and the other left.”

Luke 12:40–“Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour ye think not.”

John 6:40–And this is the will of Him that sent Me, that everyone which seeth the Son, and believe on Him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”

I stopped my search and pondered those verses. Surely, they verified the truthfulness of the dream. Then I slowly shook my head. To completely substantiate that dream, I must find a verse forty with the word “horsemen” in it. I had to continue the search. I turned to Genesis, and chapter by chapter, inched forward.

When I found it, I screamed! I felt as if a powerful bolt of lightning had hit me. I grabbed my chest, gasping and trembling. I read the words AGAIN as my vision blurred before me. I thought I was going to faint. In front of my eyes, in the print I recognized from the dream, I saw the elusive Bible verse. The word “horsemen” seemed to jump like a flashing beacon.

“It’s true!” I shrieked. “It’s true! Jesus indeed gave me that dream!”

I never knew such a verse existed in the Bible. As a fairly new Christian, I had not yet read that particular book in the King James, although I had read it in a modern translation. In the modern translation, the word “horsemen” was NOT there. I know, because I checked.

I located the “mystery” verse in the book of Daniel, most definitely a very famous portion of Old Testament prophecy.

Daniel 11:40 (King James Version)–“At the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots and with HORSEMEN, and with many ships, and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.”

Why wasn’t that chapter a seven, like what I thought I’d heard in the dream? Recalling the sequence of the dream, I sought to find the answer. The woman’s voice had been soft and subdued, the chapter number mumbled and indistinct. What I THOUGHT was “seven” was actually “eleven”–two numbers that SOUND very similar.

I could hardly wait for Rex to get home from work. Oh, what a story I had to tell him!

INTERPRETING THE DREAM

The dream started as ordinary and routine. Rex and I and the children did a common and usual thing. We stood in familiar scenery that surrounded our eastern Oregon home. THE MEANING: At the time of the end, days will be business as usual, until the judgment hits. Like the days of Noah and Lot. Matthew 24:36-39 and Luke 17:26-30 They ate and drank, married and gave in marriage, planted and built. Ordinary days–UNTIL Noah went into the ark. And UNTIL Lot was taken out of Sodom. THEN the judgment fell!

In the dream I saw childhood and high school friends. Then other people crowded in front of them and blocked them from view. MEANING: We are THE GENERATION which will be ALIVE at the end when Jesus returns. Matthew 24:32-34. As for other people crowding in front of the old friends–it means that the end will occur MUCH LATER in our lives than when we knew those childhood friends. Another group of friends form part of a crowd that blocked the childhood pals from view. In fact, the crowd was more like a mob, indicating an much larger population will be upon the earth at the time of the Lord’s coming, than what was evident in the 1940s and 1950s.

The climate in the dream spoke of late summer or early fall. The grass was brown and dry, crackling underfoot. MEANING–the beginning of the fulfillments of end time events will occur near the end of summer, or in the early part of fall. The fall feasts of the Lord that were given to Israel in Leviticus 23. Also the dry grass could indicate a drought occurring near the time when the Lord will return.

We watched a massive lightning storm. MEANING: the Lord’s coming will be like lightning that comes out of the east and shines toward the west. Matthew 24:27. It could also mean that extreme and violent weather will be happening just before the Lord returns.

The lightning circumnavigated the whole surrounding horizon. MEANING: The trouble to come in the end time will be world wide. Revelation 3:10. A temptation (tribulation) that comes upon ALL the world to try (test) those who dwell upon the earth.

The sky turned dim and dusky, as if the sun had just set. MEANING: the judgment of the day of the Lord will be a time of darkness, and gloominess–Zephaniah 1:15; a time of darkness and not light, even very dark, and no brightness in it–Amos 5:20; a day of darkness and gloominess–Joel 2:2; in that day, the light shall not be clear, nor dark (dusky), it shall be one day known to the Lord, not day, nor night–Zechariah 14:6-7.

One man, disheveled and frantic, exclaimed, “This is terrible. There’s no rain, and there’s going to be fires all over.” MEANING: He expressed FEAR. Men’s hearts failing them for fear–Luke 21:26. He spoke of no rain, so at the time of the Lord’s coming the world will see drought. Revelation 11:6. The man worried about fires, so in the judgments of the Lord, the world will be burned. Revelation 8:7.

The next part of the dream CONFUSED me somewhat in 1973–and in the years shortly thereafter. I couldn’t grasp WHY “the glowing words in the sky” and the “booming voice” declared, “People of America have no more children.” WHAT was that??? And WHY was it there??? It COULDN’T mean “woe to those who are with child in those days” in Matthew 24:19. That verse speaks to Israel, and NOT to America!

When I tried to explain this dream to some Christian friends, they said my dream was NOT from God because of this one apparently FALSE detail. Certainly, God was NOT telling America to stop having children, because His word so clearly declares elsewhere that He wants His people to “be fruitful and multiply.” And many of my friends at Church stopped listening to my dreams.

Much later, it DAWNED on me. I DISCOVERED the MEANING of “People of America have no more children.” God was NOT giving a command for people to stop having babies! Instead, He gave a STATEMENT OF FACT–about something that He is NOT happy with, and which will incur HIS JUDGMENT!

I had this dream in 1973. It was THE VERY SAME YEAR that ROE V. WADE passed in American congress! Babies began to be aborted by the hundreds of thousands, then millions! God stated ONE FACT of WHY His judgments are coming: it’s BECAUSE “People of America have no more children.” They abort them instead!

One angry man, upon seeing the details I’ve described in this dream, exclaimed: “This is a hoax. Somebody rigged this up to trick us.” MEANING: He’s one of the end time scoffers that we see prophesied in 2 Peter 3:3 and 4.

Yet another person said, “It’s no trick, sir. It’s getting ready for Jesus to return.” MEANING: At the very time of the end, watchers will be watching and declaring strongly that Jesus is getting ready to return. That’s happening! I’m one of the watchers!

[I’ll describe the meaning of seeing my Bible and finding that verse in a moment. It’s the highlight, and I want to save it’s meaning for last. Just like a good dessert!]

A popping, splitting, cracking noise occurred deep in the ground, and on the rimrock bluffs, boulders fell as the earth shook. THE OBVIOUS MEANING: earthquakes will happen more and more frequently, and I would get to witness them as the time draws closer to the return of Jesus. (I will also mention that I’ve had other end time dreams where I saw gigantic tsunamis and many erupting volcanoes. We’ve seen an increase of all of these things in this hour just prior to the Rapture!)

Many stars fell from the sky, a whole set of them, looking like the simultaneous explosion of many large fireworks displays. MEANING–in the time of the end, stars will fall from the heavens. They play an active part in the judgments recorded in Revelation. Revelation 6:13; Revelation 8:7; Revelation 8:8; Revelation 8:10 and Revelation 16:21.

A dusty cloud billowed over the horizon in front of the full moon and it turned blood red. MEANING: the dust from a war–or from a volcano (which was quite a distance away from eastern Oregon–over the horizon) caused the moon to shine blood red. We see blood red moons prophesied in the scripture for the time of the end. Joel 2:30-31, Acts 2:19 and 20 and Revelation 6:12.

Now, I’ll return to the detail about my King James Bible and the Bible verse that I heard mumbled. There is a CLOSE fulfillment of this dream. MEANING: the Bible verse was fulfilled PARTIALLY a week after I dreamed the dream. There will be a FAR and SECOND fulfillment of that verse in the time of the Tribulation.

Exactly one week after I dreamed the dream, I sat in the home of my husband’s parents, watching the news on TV. I saw tanks and exploding bombs. Then I heard the announcer said, “Egypt and Syria attacked Israel today.” The Yom Kippur War had started. And immediately I KNEW! The KING OF THE SOUTH (Egypt) and the KING OF THE NORTH (Syria) had come against Israel! Daniel 11:40!

I jumped out of my chair and yelled, “It’s happening! It’s happening! Jesus is coming back!”

My husband and in-laws stared at me, eyes wide, mouths open, as if I had completely lost my mind. I watched that war progress, and remained on pins and needles through the whole duration. I was SO SURE Jesus would soon Rapture His Church at that time! (That was the very first time that I felt SO CONFIDENT that Jesus was going to come at ANY instant.)

In 1984, I was asked to teach a series on end time prophecy at my Church. In that teaching, I referred to Bible prophecies which were PARTIALLY fulfilled in the past, but which would get a COMPLETE fulfillment at the time of the end. I used my experience with Daniel 11:40 as one of the examples.

As I read Daniel 11:40 to that congregation, I realized the meaning of another small detail in that dream. “I” was “the voice” of the woman in the dream. As I spoke into a microphone, my own voice carried through that Church, sounding exactly like what I’d experienced in the dream. Therefore, I had a “prophecy” of myself teaching that same passage of scripture, and I was using that same King James Bible! What a sense of living something all over again! Talk about being humbled. God knew my future and showed me just a snippet of it in that dream!

Daniel 11:40 will be completely fulfilled in the Tribulation. The KING OF THE SOUTH will push against the Antichrist, and the KING OF THE NORTH will come against him like a whirlwind, with tanks (perhaps) and vehicles of war (chariots and horsemen). The the prophecy declares, that the Antichrist will retaliate, enter into the glorious land of Israel, and many countries shall be overthrown. He will spare the land of Jordan, but Egypt will not escape his fury. He will also subdue Libya and the Ethiopians. Tidings out of the north and the east shall trouble him and he will go forth with great fury to destroy and utterly take away many. At that time, Mid-Tribulation, the Antichrist will plant the tabernacles of his palace IN THE GLORIOUS HOLY MOUNTAIN. In other, words, at the end of the Daniel 11:40 to 45 sequence, Antichrist will do the abomination that makes desolate. Israel will need to flee for their lives. But never fear, the Antichrist WILL come to his END, and there will be NONE TO HELP HIM.

Thus ends the story of the most powerful end time dream that I’ve ever experienced.

There are many other dreams. I’ll share them at a later time.

I hope you enjoyed this.

The Church – Different from the World

THE CHURCH – DIFFERENT FROM the WORLD
-by A.W. Tozer.

“Therefore “Come out from among them and be separate,” says the Lord. “Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.” – 2 Corinthians 6:17

The church’s mightiest influence is felt when she is different from the world in which she lives. Her power lies in her being different, rises with the degree in which she differs and sinks as the difference diminishes.

This is so fully and clearly taught in the Scriptures and so well illustrated in Church history that it is hard to see how we can miss it. But miss it we do, for we hear constantly that the Church must try to be as much like the world as possible, excepting, of course, where the world is too, too sinful….

Let us plant ourselves on the hill of Zion and invite the world to come over to us, but never under any circumstances will we go over to them. The cross is the symbol of Christianity, and the cross speaks of death and separation, never of compromise. No one ever compromised with a cross. The cross separated between the dead and the living. The timid and the fearful will cry “Extreme!” and they will be right. The cross is the essence of all that is extreme and final. The message of Christ is a call across a gulf from death to life, from sin to righteousness and from Satan to God. (-The Set of the Sail, 35, 36).”

“This was happening in the house of God. Robbing God of His portion. What a sin. The same thing is happening today among God’s servants in God’s house. The love for money, love for power, love for fame and name. These are the three great fleshhook teeth today among God’s people and God’s servants. Doing much for money’s sake, never satisfied. Telling false stories for more money. What a shame. Making God a beggar.” – Bakht Singh (1903-2000)

The Desert Experience

The DESERT EXPERIENCE
-by Ken Brown.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways.” (Isaiah 55:8-9)

– It is imperative that every child of God should understand His ways. – We think in straight lines and fixed points, and move in a consecutive manner, that is, from point to point (we start and finish a book; we look forward to something, and look back on something; we measure progress by time spent or goods produced; when we travel, we leave a departure point and arrive at a destination point, etc.)

– God doesn’t think in straight lines, He thinks in circles. He’s doing many things simultaneously, He’s at the beginning and the middle and the end of many things – all at the same time. Therefore, He doesn’t think of things in the context of time, He exists outside of time. Time is irrelevant to Him. He is not affected by time.

– God’s timelessness presents a very real problem for us. God may speak into our life today and we will assume that it’s going to happen today, or very soon. We will probably place it on a time line of some sort. But, God may be speaking to us from a point that is still far into our future. The reason is because He is not concerned with time, and this is why: God does not measure time; He measures growth! When God deals with us, His purpose is growth, maturity, and preparation. And, it always involves death to self! God will draw us into a desert experience with Him to give us the opportunity to grow (to die to self), to learn to trust Him or to gain more insight into His ways.

– And, because of the way we think, our first question is always “How long is this going to take?” We’re not having fun. Dying to self is never fun. But God won’t tell us how long it’s going to take, because He understands that if we know how long, we’ll just try to hold our breath until it’s over. He doesn’t want us to hold our breath. He wants us to die!…

– For us the practical result of all this is that God has spoken words into our lives (even though we must be careful and know, what was spoken by God, and what wasn’t). And because of this, we know He has wonderful plans for us, and that excites us. We have aspirations for God. We want to do all those great things He’s spoken into us. But, many times what we really experience is great frustration, because those things He’s spoken aren’t happening yet! When you’re frustrated, know that God loves frustrated people. He knows you’re frustrated because you care. Also know that the reason they may not be happening yet is that God is still measuring growth, not time.

– In our relationship with God, His purpose is to conform us to the image of His Son. And, He’s content to take as much time as necessary. We, on the other hand, want everything to happen now, without suffering, pain, or sacrifice on our part. And God’s only response to that is – too bad. Adjust your thinking. I’m doing this my way.

– When God is dealing with us, we must learn the value of doing nothing. This seems to be a contradiction; but most everything we do with God (if we do it right) is a contradiction to us… We have to learn the value of doing nothing before God. That’s why quiet time with God is so great – you don’t have to do anything. Just hang out with God.

You don’t have to fast for three days to get His attention, or recite long prayers to impress Him. Just rest quietly before His presence and wait for Him. If He doesn’t speak immediately, He will eventually. But, you do have to learn to wait. It’s a matter of respect and submission on your part. God does not act according to your time, He acts according to His will. Anytime a believer decides to press in to God and really get to know Him, one of the first things God will teach him is His Sovereignty! God moves in His time and acts according to His ways. Religion teaches that man is the creator and God is what they created. They expect Him to do what they say, when they say it. Of course, He doesn’t. But they’re too stupid and bound up in their own deception to notice. – Also, God operates on a different noise level than we do. When we cry out to Him, He whispers back to us. God wants us to learn to be quiet, even when everything around us is in turmoil. Psalm 46 starts out with an earthquake and a tidal wave and ends with God telling us to “be quiet and rest assured that I am God (and everything is under control, regardless of what you see or hear)”.

But know this, when you learn how to rest in God, you’ll be accused of not caring about what’s going on around you. In this world, anxiety and hand wringing is the universal sign that you really care (that, and whether or not you’re wearing the appropriate color ribbon or symbol on your lapel). However, in the Kingdom of God, anxiety is only proof that you’re dumb. After all, you’re supposed to be having a relationship with the Prince of Peace.

– God delights in drawing us into times of intimacy with Him. Later in this paper we will see just how He does that. In each cycle of intimacy there are two specific points we must be able to recognize. The first is submission and the second is obedience. In order for us to benefit from being in God’s presence, we must first acknowledge Who He is in submission, and then be ready to obey.

Unforgiveness and Bondage

NOTE: If you ever talk to someone involved in Deliverance ministry they will tell you that the most common cause of severe “demonic” problems in a person’s life is “UNFORGIVENESS”. Clinging on to bitterness or grudges is virtually the single most dangerous spiritual thing that a person can do. It can even cause physical sickness. And yet it is so common – even in the church! Below is a great article on this topic by Rodney Francis:

UNFORGIVENESS – A CAUSE of MAJOR BONDAGE
-by Rodney W. Francis

It has been said that the major cause of hindrances and bondages in the lives of Christians is that of unforgiveness. Every one of us will have experienced things in our lives, disagreements, criticisms, accusations (both true and false) against us. We cannot avoid these things happening. Even Jesus said that it was “impossible but that offenses would come” (Luke 17:1). Offenses are “stumbling blocks” which come against us ~ things said and done to us to put us down, or to try and subject us to someone else’s will, etc. So, no matter how well we handle relationships, etc., we will all face negative things being thrown at us. Some will “attack” us if for no other reason but that they are jealous of us.

For the Christian we must accept that these things will happen in our lives.

· The big issue is how we deal with them!

It is very important to realize that once the offense has taken place, that we cannot change that. What we can change is our response to it, and how we allow it to affect us. The sooner we can take these matters to the Lord and leave them with Him ~ and at the same time practice forgiveness toward those who have offended us ~ the sooner we will be able to get on with our lives and continue to be fruitful in His service. But if we allow those criticisms to get into our emotions and cause us to re-act negatively and to start “bad mouthing” that person who has offended (and hurt) us, then it will quickly get into our spirit and lodge there. Once that happens, then we become the loser in the situation ~ even if the accusations are wrong! It is so important that we learn to keep short accounts with God and with people; otherwise we will start on a downward slippery slope that can cause us to finish up being hurt, angry, resentful, “bitter and twisted”, carrying a wounded spirit in the process. None of us can afford to let that happen. Yet, in my travels in numbers of countries, I am finding wounded Christians that have to be set free…

It is sad, but true, that many who have a prophetic calling in God have been “put down” or prevented from functioning. This has caused many to be “shut down,” be hurt and to go inwards, which does not allow them to pursue and fulfill their calling. Tragically, many Christian Leaders have been guilty of clamping down on those who are trying to exercise their Spiritual Gifts. Regardless of who caused the offense we all need to practice forgiveness. Let me emphasize strongly to you: carrying unforgiveness in your heart is not worth it! There is nothing good or justifiable in our carrying unforgiveness. If you have any unforgiveness in your heart and life right now, let me encourage you to make it a top priority to deal with it, and to get rid of it. Take it to JESUS ~ give it to Him, as He is the only One who can take it away from us. It is He that we are called to please; and our carrying unforgiveness does not please Him at all. In fact unforgiveness stops God from forgiving us of our many offenses against Him (Matthew 6:14-15)! Right now, come before the Lord Jesus and give it all to Him.
