It is creepy to think about it, but Christians have evil angels assigned to them to wreck havoc on their life. And just because you might be an unbeliever, don’t think you get off the hook so easy. Satan’s Evil Angels at Work…

Satan called a worldwide convention. In his opening address to his evil angels, he said, “We can’t keep the Christians from going to church.

We can’t keep them from reading their Bibles and knowing the truth.

We can’t even keep them from forming an intimate, abiding relationship experience in Christ.

Once they gain that connection with Jesus, our power over them is broken.

So let them go to their churches; let them have their conservative lifestyles, but steal their time, so they can’t gain that relationship with Jesus Christ. This is what I want you to do, evil angels.

Distract them from gaining hold of their Savior and maintaining that vital connection throughout their day!”

“How shall we do this?” shouted his evil angels. “Keep them busy in the non-essentials of life and invent innumerable schemes! To occupy their minds,” he answered.

“Tempt them to spend, spend, spend, and borrow, borrow, borrow. Persuade the wives to go to work for long hours and the husbands to work 6-7 days each week, 10-12 hours a day, so they can afford their empty lifestyles. Keep them from spending time with their children. As their family fragments, soon, their home will offer no escape from the pressures of work!”

Over-stimulate their minds so that they cannot hear that still, small voice.

Entice them to play the radio or cassette player whenever they drive. To keep the TV, VCR, CDs and their PCs going constantly in their home and see to it that every store and restaurant in the world plays non-biblical music constantly. This will jam their minds and break that union with Christ.”

“Fill the coffee tables with magazines and newspapers. Pound their minds with the news 24 hours a day. Invade their driving moments with billboards.

Flood their mailboxes with junk mail, mail order catalogues, sweepstakes, and every kind of newsletter and promotional offering free products, services, and false hopes. Keep skinny, beautiful models on the magazines so their husbands will believe that external beauty is what’s important, and they’ll become dissatisfied with their wives. That will fragment those families quickly!”

“Even in their recreation, let them be excessive. Have them return from their recreation exhausted, disquieted and unprepared for the coming week.

Don’t let them go out in nature to reflect on God’s wonders. Send them to amusement parks, sporting events, concerts and movies instead.

Keep them busy, busy, busy!

And when they meet for spiritual fellowship, involve them in gossip and small talk so that they leave with troubled consciences and unsettled emotions. Go ahead, let them be involved in soul winning; but crowd their lives with so many good causes they have no time to seek power from Jesus.

Soon they will be working in their own strength, sacrificing their health and family for the good of the cause.

It will work! It will work!”

It was quite a convention. The evil angels went eagerly to their assignments causing Christians everywhere to get more busy and more rushed, going here and there.

I guess the question is: Has the devil been successful at his scheme?

THE WAR AGAINST THE SAINTS – By Jan Markell

Can I speak from the heart? I am trying to be positive in spite of the fact that wind chill temps here in Minnesota likely resemble the temps on Mars or Saturn. Houses and cars are buried in snow. Our famous domed football stadium made national news as it couldn’t even survive the onslaught of snow and cold so we Minnesotans wish the global warming myth were true.

But if you hadn’t noticed, the saints are under particular attack these days. The trials and testings seem to never end. One writes, Due to trials, God remains a complete mystery to me. Yet thankfully we have the promise of Heaven and Christ waiting for us and the constant heart of God with us as we struggle and grieve.

Another writes, Thanks to your prompting, Jan, I try to maintain the eternal perspective and get my eyes and mind off of this earth. The enemy has come against my family but we are not giving up hope. All is, however, a great struggle.

People around the globe are waiting on God. Let none who wait on You be ashamed (Ps. 25:3). Those waiting may be sick, weary, solitary, discouraged, perplexed, and frightened. God seems silent. Some are disappointed in God. Yes, waiting can seem like an eternity but let none of you be ashamed.

So why are the saints being pounded? Here are some thoughts:

* We are in the last of the last days and the enemy would render us ineffective in sharing the gospel while there is still time. If we focus on our issues only, we lose sight of the lost as well as our assignment in these last days.

* You are doing something incredibly right. You need to be stopped or at the least, rendered less effective. Your testimony must be squelched.

* God is allowing the trial so you will learn to wait on Him. Some are asked to wait for days; some for months; others, for years. In my book, Waiting for a Miracle, I had to wait 20 years to hurdle the “chronic fatigue syndrome.” My ministry was interrupted and my quality of life totally tanked those years. But I did learn to wait. Finally, God intervened and removed the affliction. I do recommend this book to you if you are waiting, struggling, doubting God, and more.

* What is called the “remnant” is particularly hard hit. The remnant have a love for truth and love to pass it on. The enemy wants truth to be withheld because then one is susceptible to being deceived. The remnant is waking people up and thus the heavy guns are pointed at them. If they get distracted by trials, they are distracted from spreading both the gospel and the truth. The remnant is small in number but nonetheless, powerfully effective.

* Satan wants us all to doubt. Most today even doubt the concept of “the blessed hope” of Titus 2:13 — the Lord’s return. Take away our hope and you’re one dejected, down-in-the-mouth Christian. Who would want to seek you out for anything? Your role of providing “salt and light” just turned to pepper and darkness.

* This is a fallen planet and all creation groans. Bad things happen to good people and to God’s people. Believers are not exempt from some of the worst trials and groanings. But in the end, we win. Read the last chapter.

Our love of God is linked to our love for one another — and particularly to those who wait and who are in turmoil. Love of God is inseparably linked with love and care for the brethren. Nothing will lighten your own personal load like reaching out to someone else and helping them ease their load.

The Bible says, Encourage the faint-hearted, support the weak, be long suffering toward all (I Thess. 5:14). Heaviness in the heart of man makes him stoop; but encouragement makes him glad (Proverbs 12:25). Make someone glad even today!

In the meantime, never give up! Ask God to put another knot in the end of your rope and to help you hang on! He will.

01.  You cannot encounter God unless you “go to church” because God is only found there. Funny, since God no longer resides in temples made with hands. You don’t “go to Church” or “have church.” You are the Church. The Temple of God. 1 Corinthians 3:16 Know you not that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you. Hebrews 9:11 But Christ being come a high Priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building.

02.  Christians are not to edify and minister to each other. that’s the Pastor’s job. Titus chapter 2 says otherwise. Verse 15 says These things speak and exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise you.

03.  Only the pastor hears from God and can interpret the scripture. The rest of us are lay people. If that’s true, what do we need with the Holy Spirit? 2 Timothy 4:2 says Preach the word, be instant in season and out, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. This was directed at the Church, not pastors. We are all capable of hearing from God because as believers, we all have the Holy Spirit residing inside of us.

04.  If we don’t tithe, we will be cursed with a curse. Simply put, He that the Son has set free is free indeed. Give because you want to, not because you fear getting cursed. Don’t be entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Galatians 5:1

05.  Only the people in the pulpit are gifted. No, God has given gifts to every believer and set some in offices to maintain cohesion; Pastors, evangelists, prophets, teachers and apostles. But Christ is the true Head of the Body. Ephesians 5.

06.  If you build a Church building the people in the neighborhood will come to it in droves. No. There is none righteous not one. There is none that seeks after righteousness. Romans 3:10. We are told by Christ Himself to go out to the lost, in the Great Commission. Matt 28:18-20

07.  If I go to church every week and pray every now and then I’m going to heaven. No. Jesus said that only those who know, hears His words and does them enter His Kingdom. Luke 6:47 Matthew 12:50. That means read your bible, study it, know it. In the beginning was the word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. That is His hint that if you know His Word, you know Him.

08.  God wants us all rich. No. God wants us all Holy. Desiring the material things and riches of this world is covetous ness and according to Ephesians 5:5 covetousness is idolatry and those who practice it have no inheritance in the Kingdom.

09.  It’s ok for black believers to hold a grudge against white believers because of slavery. No. If we don’t forgive others (and their descendants) for past wrongs, the Father will not forgive us. Matthew 6: 14-15.

10.  All religions lead to God. No. Matthew 7:13-14 says Enter in at the strait gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction and many there be that go in thereat. Because strait is the gate and narrow is the way which leads to life and few there be that find it.

11.  We shouldn’t preach the Gospel to those we encounter daily because they might be offended. Ezekiel 33:6 says But if the Watchman see the sword come and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; If the sword come and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.

12.  It’s ok to change the Bible and Christian practice because it’s 2009 after all. Wrong. The Word is meant to change us and not the other way around. Mark 7:9 says And Jesus said to them Full well you reject the commandment of God that you may keep your own tradition.
